There are three main purposes of TEAR:
1. Reaching people for Jesus Christ, by preaching His true Gospel.
2. Fellowship and growth between and among Evangelical Christians.
3. Learning and refining defenses of the Christian faith.
TEAR is run by one person, me, Dan Curry. I
am an Evangelical Christian. I am 20 years old, and have been Christian
for around two years. I am a studio painting major in college, who
hopes to attend theological seminary after I graduate. I do not belong
to any particular denomination, though I attend a Southern Baptist church
and a Presbyterian (PCA) youth group. I am Reformed in Theology.
I have one desire: God Himself.
I believe that I have been saved by faith in the
atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ, who shed His blood on the cross for
my sins, thus taking the blame for everything I have ever done. I
believe that there is nothing greater than the love that God has for us,
and I strive to daily be an example of that love. TEAR is my humble
attempt to provide answers for the objections raised against Biblical Christianity.
I earnestly believe that it is possible to know that the Gospel of Jesus
Christ is true. To read my testimony, please go to the section entitled
"Testimonies".
Things that this website is not intended to do are:
1. Bring glory to myself.
2. Make those who disagree with me feel lower than me.
3. Compromise the truth for a lie.
Nevertheless, it is inevitable that the information found on this site will at times offend people. This is not my goal, but is something that cannot be avoided. I try to preach the Gospel of Jesus Christ in love, with gentleness and with respect. But, I refuse to water down His Gospel in order to make it pleasing to those who disagree with it. I have been often accused of being insensitive because of this refusal to compromise. However, I want to make it very clear that I do not believe what I believe merely because I want to believe it. By believing what I believe, I must believe, consequently, that my own immediate family, whom I love with my whole heart, would go to Hell if their time were to come right now. I believe what I believe, because I must. And I believe that it is my duty to make known that which I believe. That is the purpose of TEAR.
May God bless you.
